Our recruitment process includes identifying, attracting, screening, shortlisting, and interviewing candidates for jobs within the company.

Where possible we tend to recruit through recommendation rather than in the open market. We find that we get a better quality of candidate and a lower level of employee churn.

When our cleaning staff are recruited we ensure they are trained appropriately and fulfil all legal requirements for working within the UK.

Staff Checks

For each new member of staff Swift requires the Area Managers to obtain the following:

  • Obtain employee information from the previous employer
  • Interview all TUPE affected staff to make sure they understand their rights and keep them fully informed of how the transfer affects them
  • Treat all TUPE affected staff fairly, and honour the terms of their previous contract of employment

Swift is experienced in recruitment TUPE matters and abides by TUPE regulations. We will:

  • Completed Starter Form with signatures
  • Proof of identification, either passport or full birth certificate, and National Insurance Number
  • Visa or residence permit if required
  • A utility bill
  • Bank details
  • P45 or P46
  • Ensure fulfilment of site specific regulations
  • Check Right to Work
